Defamation, Libel, and Slander Law

When your reputation is on the line, you need knowledgeable and strategic legal guidance to work through the complexities of defamation law.

Untrue, unfair, malicious or irresponsible comments or communications can be personally or professionally damaging when communicated to third parties. With a rise in technological advancement and an increase of online activity and global access, defamation is an area of law which is continuously growing and becoming more complex.

Defamation can occur in a number of contexts. For example, negative or false online publications regarding you, your company, or your reputation may all fall under the umbrella of defamation. Instances can include, but are not limited to: online publications such as blogs, articles, or reviews; print materials; or social media forums on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

If you have been defamed, you may be entitled to compensation for losses arising as a result of defamation. Pacific Law Group’s lawyers have the knowledge and experience to manage sensitive cases. Our defamation, libel, and slander lawyers have worked with clients who have been defamed, accused of defamation, or who have sought legal advice prior to releasing a publication. We can provide legal advice or assistance with any defamation questions or concerns you may have.
