It is with great sorrow and disbelief that we advise that our dear friend and colleague Jeff Joudrey passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 22nd, 2021 leaving his family, friends and colleagues far too early. He was only 53. All who knew him remember Jeff to have a big heart and that he was a kind, loyal, generous, and caring friend.
Jeff was an incredibly smart, accomplished, and passionate lawyer. As one of its founding members in 2006, he was an integral part of Pacific Law Group for the last 15 years. During his long career as a lawyer he was involved with many precedent setting cases in personal injury. He was a persuasive, articulate advocate, with a quick wit and an easy grasp of complex legal and medical concepts. His near eidetic memory enabled him to rattle off paragraph and page number references for propositions in case law with apparent ease. Jeff appeared as counsel in a great many trials and appeals and his advice was frequently sought out on many aspects of the law and practice by clients and colleagues. He never failed to help out when help was needed, or to offer encouragement and support to a friend or colleague in need.
Outside the law, Jeff was a great lover of cats, hockey, video games, fly-fishing, politics, Friday lunches at Joey Burrard, horticulture, and music (he was an accomplished drummer in a former life). With his philosophy background, Jeff was never at a loss for words, or an interesting perspective on all conceivable topics. He had an infectious laugh, a wonderful wit, and a wide circle of devoted friends, family, and colleagues who are better for having known Jeff, but terribly saddened by his loss. He will be forever missed.
